The Terzini family came back to Melbourne in 1980. In 1988 Maurizio opened his first cafi, the much-loved Caffe e Cucina, in Chapel Street, South Yarra. Since then, Maurizio has revolutionised modern Australian dining in Melbourne and Sydney, creating some of Australia’s most successful cafes, bars and restaurants, which have set a benchmark for impeccable and relaxed dining around the country.
Maurizio lives in Sydney with his partner, Kirrily, and has a son, Sylvester. Maurizio’s current passion and project is Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, at Bondi Beach.
