As the mercenary captain of the Lady Corsair, Yasmeen is only loyal to her ship and her crew. So when a man who once tried to seize her airship returns from the dead, Yasmeen will be damned if she gives him another opportunity to take control. But treasure-hunter Archimedes Fox isn’t interested in the Lady Corsair—he wants her coldhearted captain and the invaluable da Vinci sketch she stole from him.
To reclaim the painting, Archimedes must seduce the woman who once tossed him to a ravenous pack of zombies…and she’s no easy conquest.
When da Vinci’s sketch attracts a dangerous amount of attention, they journey to Horde-occupied Morocco—and straight into their enemy’s hands. But as they fight to save themselves in a city on the brink of rebellion, the greatest peril Yasmeen faces is from the man who seeks to melt her icy heart…
When I created the alternate steampunk history of the Iron Seas, I resolved to make the world as broad as possible so that I could bring something new to my readers with every story. I wanted to explore different areas of that world, to know the delight of discovery with each book. I wanted each Iron Seas tale to be an adventure — for you, for me, and for my hero and heroine, Archimedes Fox and Lady Corsair.
But adventure isn’t only found fleeing ravenous zombies on the ground or in the skies on an airship — romance is often an incredible adventure, too. No one knows that better than Archimedes, who scours the wastelands of Europe for long-lost treasure and for the thrill and excitement that every dangerous encounter brings…and no one is more dangerous or thrilling to him than Yasmeen, the captain of the airship Lady Corsair. After all, she’s already tried to kill him once.
Threats have never stopped Archimedes, however — he thrives on the excitement. How could he possibly resist the challenge of trying to capture Yasmeen’s heart of steel, even if it means risking his own heart? Of course, there is also the little matter of the valuable sketch she stole from him, and he’s determined to retrieve that, as well.
I hope you’ll come along with Archimedes and Yasmeen on this adventure. They’ve got a fascinating world to explore, danger around every turn, a romance that will leave you breathless…and a hero who will discover that the greatest treasure isn’t made of gold, but steel.
