Overview

Collared and controlled, Shifters are outcast from humanity, forced to live in Shiftertowns. But waiting within are passions that no Collar can contain…

As a wildcat Shifter and leader of his Shiftertown, Eric Warden knows his own kind. When he sees Iona Duncan, he realizes that although she appears human she is a half-Shifter wildcat living without a Collar—and that if she doesn’t acknowledge her true nature and her mating hunger, it may kill her…

Iona finds the mysterious and powerful Eric alluring, even though she has vowed never to reveal her Shifter side, lest her mother pay the price for hiding her all these years. But her mating hunger is rising, and with Eric so close, she may not be able to resist…and her desire may lead to the very doom they are fighting to deny…

Dear Reader Letter

Dear Reader,

Welcome back to the world of the Shifters Unbound series!

The October release is Mate Claimed, the story of Eric Warden, Shiftertown leader, and Iona Duncan, half-human, half-Shifter who’s concealed her Shifter nature all her life.

When Eric spies Iona across a crowded bar, he realizes she’s Shifter passing for human, and also that she’s a female wildcat entering her fertile years.

Eric knows how dangerous that will be for her—if Iona doesn’t contain herself, she could go feral, meaning the beast in her would take over, until she’s dangerous to herself and everyone around her, including her human mother and half-sister, whom she dearly loves.

Eric’s solution—mate-claim her, teach her to be Shifter, and mate with her fully.

Iona finds the mysterious and dangerous Eric intriguing, but she wishes the man would stop driving her insane. She can’t help thinking about the night he fed her luscious chocolates in the dark silence of a deserted parking lot, but she vows never to acknowledge publicly that she’s Shifter, fearing backlash against her mother and half-sister for hiding her.

But Eric is a compelling Shifter male, and Iona’s hunger drives her to him.

Eric has problems of his own. His Shiftertown is being consolidated with another that the humans are shutting down. That Shiftertown was all-wolf, run by a Lupine, Graham, who hates Felines like Eric, not to mention the fact that he’s had to step down as Shiftertown leader. Graham has made it clear that he’s not going to concede easily, and he’s more or less already challenged Eric for position as the Alpha.

Not only that, but Eric has been having episodes of unexplained pain, possibly left over from experiments performed on him long ago. And there’s evidence that someone, somewhere has started experiments on Shifters again.

And in the middle of this is Iona, un-Collared, uncontained, her Shifter mating needs spiraling out of control. Eric must teach Iona to acknowledge her Shifter nature and her mating hunger before it kills her.

Follow Iona and Eric’s struggle, and catch up with other Shifters—Diego and Cassidy, who are about to have their first child; the grizzlies next door; and more.
