Tuesday morning,  NBC’s Today Show announced John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars (Dutton Children’s Books, 1/10/12; Speak, 4/8/14) as its May Book Club Pick.  Green sat down with Today host Willie Geist for a one-on-one interview, in which he talks about why he wrote the book, his involvement with the film, and the actors who were chosen to play his characters. The month-long Today promotion will include giveaways, and outreach with trivia questions on Today’s social media platforms, culminating in a Google Hangout on June 2 from the New York premiere of The Fault in Our Stars on the red carpet with Green and cast members. In other John Green news, BuzzFeed visited the Amsterdam set of The Fault in Our Stars  film for their feature interview with Green. The piece gives an overview of his involvement with the movie, online career and backlist, as well as mentioning This Star Won’t Go Out: The Life and Words of Esther Grace Earl (Dutton Children’s Books, 1/28).
