Why Boys Will Read It:

Laugh-out-loud mischievous antics.

What It's About:

Everyone likes a little bit of Fudge.

Life with his little brother, Fudge, is difficult for Peter Hatcher. Whether Fudge is throwing a temper tantrum in a shoe store, smearing mashed potatoes on the walls at Hamburger Heaven, or trying to fly, he's never far from trouble. Fudge is a terror who gets away with everything, and Peter's had enough!

How to Teach It:

Ask your students about their relationships with their siblings.

Ask those who are older than their siblings if and how they relate to Peter. Ask those who are younger children if and how they relate to Fudge. And for those students who don't have any siblings, who are they more like, Peter or Fudge?
