The literary journal Kirkus Reviews
has announced the finalists for its 2015 book prizes, and two Penguin Publishing Group authors and their books are in the running for awards: Fates and Furies
by Lauren Groff (Riverhead) in the fiction category and The Deluge
by Adam Tooze (Viking) in the nonfiction category.
The Kirkus Prize was founded by Kirkus Reviews
in 2014 to recognize outstanding writing by authors whose books have earned a review star in the categories of fiction, nonfiction and young readers literature. The winners, each of whom receives $50,000, will be named October 15 at a ceremony in Austin, Texas.
Congratulations and best of luck to Ms. Groff and Mr. Tooze.
